This year FHS has hired over 30 new teachers, one being instructional assistant Amy Wiles. As an instructional assistant, Wiles works with students who need extra help in the classroom.Wiles spent two years at Purdue University and finished out at Anderson University. She has her elementary teaching license and has worked at Lapel Elementary and Anderson community schools. Wiles is from a small town between Anderson and Noblesville, called Lapel, Indiana.
Every morning she travels from Lapel to Fishers to assist at FHS.

This is her first year assisting in a high school and her first in the HSE district.

“I’m really impressed with it, FHS, I like it here. It’s really nice,” Wiles said. “You guys have a lot of opportunities, a lot different than the school my daughter goes to. [Lapel High School] is smaller and there’s not quite as many classes.”
