God leads students to Fastbreak

Every year the youth group Cru organizes a getaway to Xenia, Ohio called Fastbreak. This year it was from Jan. 18-20. There were 80 FHS Cru members adding to a total of 200 Cru members who went. The weekend was a way for teens to strengthen their relationships with God and to learn more about him. While the students were at Cru’s facility in Xenia during Fastbreak, they would have main meetings every morning and night. On that Saturday, they had a free day to do whatever activities they desired such as skiing, tubing, bowling or just hang out around the campus. Before the students left on Sunday, they got to make videos telling their stories about their faith in God and how he is famous to them. Every video is titled “I’m Not Famous” and uploaded on YouTube under the account name CruImNotFamous. The students ended their main meeting Sunday evening with a Cru talent show.

“I will definitely be returning next year. I realized how important he [God] is to have a pure life. Never have I felt God move more people,” sophomore Noah Smyth said.
