Homecoming week is just around the corner

Monday:

On Sept. 18, Homecoming dance tickets will go on sale for the dance and game. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches all week. Spirit week begins comfortably with pajama Day, students can sport their  nightclothes all day. After school, a game night will be held, students can bring their own board games to the cafeteria A from 6 pm to 8 pm. No sign up is needed and some games will be provided.

Tuesday:

On Sept. 19, students will be decked out as their favorite characters for character day. Zumba night will be held that evening from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Aux Gym. CT, no signup required.

“We added Game Night and Zumba Night this year in hopes of getting more students involved,” English teacher Haley Caré said. 

Wednesday:

On Sept. 20, spirited students will be clad in sports jerseys for jersey day. After school, there will be a Powderpuff game on the football field at 6 pm. A permission slip is required and players must have a mouth guard to play.

Thursday:

On Sept. 21, students can dress in their favorite time period outfits for ‘Throwback Thursday’. A three on three basketball game and band night will be held in the Aux Gym from 6 pm to 8 pm. To participate in the basketball game, bring a permission slip. Permission slips can be found in rooms B102 and B103.

Friday:

On September 22, students are encouraged to wear red and their favorite FHS spirit wear. Student Choice day will begin with a SMART Period check in, followed by three to four activities during the day. In the afternoon, students will check in with their fourth period. Lunches are assigned based upon what activity a student chooses. Sign up for Student Choice here.

“High School Nation will be here performing the last two hours of the day on Student Choice Day. Before the concert, they will offer sessions on using different equipment like sounds boards.” Caré said. “The seniors will still do the senior skit but otherwise the pep rally will be the High School Nation concert,”

The Homecoming game and court announcements will be held at 7 pm.
