On Dec. 6 at 7 p.m, all three of the orchestras – concert, philharmonic, and symphony-will come together for their holiday concert. The concert will be free, but the department is asking that each audience member brings a canned food item as a donation.Orchestra teacher Steven Meurer says that the students have been working on the pieces since shortly after their October concert, and the majority of the music of this concert will relate to winter holidays.“’Christmas Festivals’ is a Leroy Anderson piece that I’ve played with groups since I was in highschool, and played every Christmas morning,” he said. “That’s probably my favorite piece in the concert.”
