Best Buddies is an organization that creates an opportunity for one-on-one friendships between many different kinds of people. Through Best Buddies, lifelong friendships are developed with students who have disabilities. Students will hang out, talk, text and have fun with each other just like any other friendship.
Students who are involved in Best Buddies attend club movie nights every other Thursday so they can spend time together. Also, around Halloween, there was also a Headless Horseman evening at Conner Prairie
“With my buddy, personally, we have gone to the school musical together and been out to dinner. We plan to do things like see movies and possibly shop at the mall,” junior Jessica Lorenz said.
On December 16th the member of Best Buddies have come up with Holiday Party. At the party, they will watch the movie “Elf,” eat cookies and snacks and make holiday cards for the faculty. Afterwards, everyone will do a gift exchange between buddies.
