Tension about finals creeps closer as the week draws to a close. For students who may feel stressed out, Stress Free Week, sponsored by the Bring Change to Mind Club, aims to lower some of that stress.

“We thought it would be a good idea because our club is all about mental health, and stress can cause that,” club member senior Kyra Mattice said. “We wanted to give people an outlet to get rid of some of that stress.”

From Monday to Thursday the club hosts different stress-lowering activities. On Thursday a therapy dog is brought in to help relief stress. Past days included coloring on Monday, yoga on Tuesday and watching “Love Simon” on Wednesday. The club will not be holding an activity on Friday so students can start studying for finals. The idea for the crafts on Monday came from the Bring Change to Mind organization’s website, however the rest of the ideas came from the club itself.

Students are welcome to bring their friends to this event. The activities are held in H136 and anyone is welcome to come.

“Our goal for Stress Free Week is to get people unstressed,” club member senior Kreena Patel said. “We’re trying to get people to not worry much about finals and to have fun before the school year ends.”
