Streaming into the auditorium on Jan. 22, junior high and high school parents alike came to FHS to learn about AP classes.
Starting at 7 pm the parents were filled in the theater and were given an half-hour presentation that included student and teacher testimonials, along with administrator opinions on the matters, about AP classes. The information shown in the video could be found on the school website or in an AP handbook.
After the presentation parents went through a convocation where they were able to meet with different AP teachers and discusses their and their departments individual courses.
“I am here to describe to the parents of eighth graders and incumbent AP class takers the purpose what AP classes, but specifically APUSH are about and what they will learn about in it,” junior Sean Flannery said.
