Hundreds of students show up to push the Tigers to their first victory during the night of the home opener on August 25.

After a 31-7 loss to North Central in the season opener, the Tigers bounced back this week and defeated Pike 31-14 on their home turf.

Senior quarterback and captain Jon Vore left the game during the first quarter after suffering an injury during the action. Junior quarterback Marcus Roux stepped in for the rest of the game, never allowing the Red Devils to take the lead.

The Tiger defensive line kept the Red Devils to a total of 264 yards, allowing the Red Devils’ only points to be scored in the second and third quarters. The Tigers and Red Devils now both sit at 1-1 on the season.
