Ford v Ferrari races into theaters
Matt Damon (Carroll Shelby) and Christian Bale (Ken Miles) star in Ford V Ferrari. The movie is based on a true story about Ford trying to dethrone Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The rivalry begins in 1963 when Ford Vice President Lee Lacocca, played by Jon Bernthal, convinces Ford to attempt to purchase a Ferrari team that has dominated the 24 Hours of LeMans in the decade prior, resulting in owner Enzo Ferrari running out of money, and fails to do so. Fiat ends up purchasing Ferrari. Ford then enlists the help of Shelby who wants Miles to drive the car. Some internal conflicts and changes arise during this time, which leads to fights between some of the main characters. This sets the stage for the two auto industry giants to battle it out at the 1964 24 Hours of LeMans.
During the scenes featuring the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona, which leads up to the 1966 24 Hours of LeMans, Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California plays the role of another NASCAR track Daytona International Speedway.
This movie has some funny moments and some serious moments. This movie does an amazing job of telling the true story. This movie is a spectacular, must-watch movie for any fan of motorsports and even cars in general. Overall, this movie gets a perfect rating from me because it includes drama, tension, and motorsports.
