Junior Melia Wright glances over at the drumset before the advanced jazz band performance. “My favorite part of playing in jazz band is being in a group that feels around with the music,” Wright said. “In concert band, for the most part, there’s a right and wrong way to play it with jazz, however, you can add whatever feeling you want to it.” The fall jazz concert occurred on Oct. 4, 2023, in the FHS Auditorium.
