Senior Lily Sharp smiles and laughs while being crowned homecoming queen. Looking out and supporting Sharp from the stands was Junior Larkyn Muth, who looked back on the night and said, “The game was super fun, my choir got to sing the national anthem and one of my best friends won homecoming queen,” Muth said. “It was just an overall fun night!” The Homecoming football game was on Sept. 22.

Local skate, coffee and retail shop Vardagen revealed that they will be opening a new store at Castleton Square Mall on Saturday, Dec. 3. Vardagen is a locally owned and run source for satiric t-shirts, other clothing, handmade skateboards and espresso drinks currently located on 116th street in the Nickel Plate District. Vardagen’s new store will not include their Sure Shot coffee shop, but will include new selections.

“Customers can expect a brand new collection for the Vardagen brand, including about 10 new designs/products in addition to many of our classic designs that are already located at the Fishers store and online,” Vardagen manager Mackenzie Hayden said.

The new store will be located in between PINK and Love culture, across from Gap. T-shirt prices typically range from $24-26, and sweatshirts range from $48-52.

“I shop at Vardagen because I think what they are doing in the community is really cool and it’s a brand that is defying corporate brands like Thrasher and Supreme, that is something I can stand behind and is something we had desperately needed locally before they started,” junior Josh Ahmed said.

Vardagen makes their skateboards and longboards by hand and are sold in store. Their prices typically range from $150-230 and will be available for purchase at their new Castleton location as well.

“I bought my board from Vardagen two years ago and I use it almost every day, it was one of the best purchases I ever made,” senior Matt Conoway said.

Though Vardagen’s new location will not include their coffee shop, it will include multiple new collections that can be purchased at their grand opening.
