Jazz Band preps for performance
Jazz Band teacher Charles Kunz leads band in practice on Jan 23
On Friday Jan. 24 the Jazz Band will be hosting its Jazz Band preview night.
“For this specific concert we have been practicing pretty much since November. Other pieces we’ve been practicing for just a few months.” Senior Zach Shultz said.
The performance will take place in the Large auditorium at 7:00 p.m.
“Music is best live” Charles Kunz said. “When you listen to a recording you hear the same thing… in Jazz we improvisation, were players make their own solos.”
The next Jazz Band concert at FHS will be on Monday March 30.
“It’s gonna be a pretty hot performance, there’s going to be a lot of bands showcased” Shultz said. “We have a lot of talent on the Jazz Band.”
