Every year publication puts out the literary magazine, which is full of submitted student poems, prose and photos and artwork. This year there were record levels of submissions across the board, with 73 images, 97 poems and 55 short stories and essays. The majority of these submissions were through creative writing and art classes.
“Lit Mag gives (students) an opportunity to have their work published, so their own peers can see it and appreciate it,” lit mag copy editor, senior Becky Cooper said.
The magazine is no longer accepting submissions, it can still be purchased by people whose work is not in it. The magazine is on pace to come out in May.
All students were able to submit to the literary magazine, but the magazine itself is put together by a small team that meets every few Wednesdays. Editor-in-chief is senior Stephanie Amador, and the rest of the staff is a mix of publications members and other students.
All students whose work will be published in the lit mag will receive a free copy and it is available for purchase.
