Natalie Clark- When she is not traveling the world, baking, or making crafts, one can find Señora Stephanie Gutting in room A102 teaching Spanish.
After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Spanish education, Gutting moved on to teach classes in other states. On her first day of high school at Waubonsie Valley in Naperville, Illinois, Gutting was so inspired by her Spanish teacher that she knew from that day on what she wanted to do.
This is now Gutting’s sixth year of being an educator and her first year in Fishers. She and her husband recently moved to Indiana from Atlanta, Georgia.
“FHS is the most amazing place ever. The kids are so friendly and awesome and the people I teach with are so much fun,” Gutting said.
Outside of the classroom, Gutting enjoys traveling and has visited countries all over the world like China, Germany and France, and even lived in England during her youth. She also is one of the Spanish club sponsors and enjoys spending time making things, whether that be homemade treats or crafts.
Other teachers describe Gutting as energetic and a fresh breath of air and students have also had a positive review, claiming she is one of the coolest teachers they’ve ever had.
“I bring daily happiness and my teaching style is interactive and spontaneous,” Gutting said.
