The newest chemistry teacher Angelica Sauceda is ready to try and make chemistry fun for her students. She likes all types of science but specifically chemistry because it is, “fun and eye-catching.” Sauceda really likes to work with students, and this will be her second year teaching. She got her degrees from the University of Washington.“Everything we do involves chemistry. From the shirts you wear everyday to the cars you drive,” Sauceda said. She really likes to work with students, and this will be her second year teaching. Before she came here, Sauceda taught in Seattle, Washington at Mercer Middle School. She enjoys this year so far.“It’s a great school. They hold students to high expectations and standards,” Sauceda said.

On her free time, Sauceda navigates around Indiana to get to know it better; she tries to figure out where things are. When she is not exploring Indiana, she likes to camp, kayak and travel.

“I wish I could spend time outside of school with students,” said Sauceda. She wants to show them who she really is because it is hard to while teaching.

The Sauceda family is very close knit. Moving away was hard for her because she is not used to being so far away from her family.
