The school’s founder, Wilhelm von Humboldt, implemented a novel educational model at the university, which emphasized holistic, curiosity-driven learning, rather than exclusively vocational, market-driven learning.

This year, FHS will be offering Final Exam Care Packages to help students cope with the stress surrounding the last week of the semester.

“Having friends support you during the stressful week through the care packages will push us to do the very best we can on the tests,” junior Ashlyn Johnson said. “It has everything needed to study efficiently and it gives us one less thing to worry about.”

These care packages are sponsored by the Riley Dance Marathon Committee and will be sold for $10. All proceeds will be donated to Riley Children’s Hospital.

“The proceeds will go towards helping Riley families out with the expenses needed to give their kids the best experience possible during their stay,” Johnson said.

The packages will include a variety of items such as a water bottle, goldfish snack, gum, pencils, an eraser, notes, the final exam schedule, a highlighter, a colored pen, post-its, note cards, and chocolate.

To order a Care Package, either fill out the form and return it to FHS or complete the online form. All forms are due by Dec. 7. The packages will be delivered on Dec. 14.
