Juniors Brayton Wilds and Allison Marshall play Nick Bottom and Titania and engage in a spell induced romance on May 13 at the Nickel Plate Amphitheater.

Junior Kara Porzuczek plays Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Nickel Plate Amphitheater on May 13. Here, Quince practices a play to be preformed for the Duke of Athens’ wedding.

Flute, played by junior Kylie Adams, acts as Thisbe in the play at the wedding. In this scene, Thisbe mourns the death of her lover, played by junior Brayton Wilds.

Titania, played by junior Ally Marshall, argues with Oberon, played by junior Ethan Conner, in front of their fairy servants.

“I really love to act, and this was such a challenge acting wise because it’s shakespearian so I loved how deeply we had to get into the script to understand what was going on,” Marshall said.

Peaseblossom[right], played by junior Kaleigh Stohler, and Mustardseed [left], played by sophomore Isaiah Cheatham, talk to Titania and Bottom.

“I was really excited for this play because it’s a Shakespearean comedy, and I thought it would be a good way to get people more involved in Shakespeare,” Stohler said.

Junior Casey Walker watches the play with her dog on the lawn of the Nickel Plate Amphitheater.
