For anyone willing to extend their guidance, support, or aid to activities put on in the community, Interact Club provides multiple opportunities to do so.

The Interact Club consists of students willing to lend a hand in the community. Members are able to complete their National Honor Society service hours through events offered by the club. The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month in room A116 to plan and work on activities.

“I’m a part of Interact Club because I find it really interesting to meet new people through getting involved in the community,” club president and junior Grace Fleetwood said. “It’s a good way to talk to people I wouldn’t normally meet.”

Interact Club looks forward to helping with the Boo Bash at the Nickel Plate District Theater, assisting with the Fall Fest at Flat Fork Creek Park, and writing letters to students in Mexico. It will also participate in an annual trick-or-treat session at the Hamilton East Public Library the week before Halloween.

“We do this thing in October called Octoboo where we go to the public library and dress up in costumes and give candy to kids,” Fleetwood said. “It’s one of my favorite things we do.”

Interact club is always looking for members dedicated to improving the community. For more information, contact club sponsor Mikala Hansen
